Grossmont Adult School offers adults the coursework required to earn a high school diploma as well as classes to prepare you for the High School Equivalency (HSE) test.

You have a second chance to finish your high school diploma! High school diploma classes are offered throughout the school year (excluding school vacation periods). You may enroll at any time.
 
Because of the social distancing guidelines currently in place, we are offering DISTANCE LEARNING OPTIONS
  • Complete your high school classes online. You work individually on the subject you need to complete. The teacher is available to answer questions, provide guidance, issue and grade tests, and write your report card! 
  • There are textbooks options available.  Assignments are made via email and appontments are made to drop off/pick up school work. 
  • Our program includes online options such as Edgenuity and Canvas.

NEW: Our test center is now open to take the GED or HiSET exam.  Schedule your tests at ged.com and  hiset.ets.org/test-takers/
 
September, 2020 UPDATE: Both the HiSET and GED exams can now be scheduled online and taken at your home, on your own computer.  There are various requirements in order to use this option.  Please read here: 
 
Because of social distancing guidelines currently in place, we are offering DISTANCE LEARNING OPTIONS for those students wanting to study for the equivalency tests (GED or HiSET).  Grossmont Adult School offers online study material and online study sessions with teachers.  Office hours are held via Zoom.
 
You can study and prepare for the HSE test at your own pace.  You work individually on the area you need to complete.  Through Distance Learning, the teacher is available to answer questions, provide guidance, issue and grade assignments.
 
We offer two State of California recognized tests for HSE.  Both tests are offered as computer based tests at our center:

 STEP 1: Select Register for Transition Services High School Programs.
 STEP 2: Select Continue Shopping. 
 STEP 3: Select Academic Registration and choose an academic advising online appointment.
 
NOTE: Your advising appointment will be held via Zoom.  You will receive an email invitation slightly before your appointment.
