Career and Technical Education (CTE) Classes

 
Career and Technical Education (CTE) classes provide access to classes that:
  • lead to jobs or to advanced training through community colleges, apprenticeships, or training schools;
  • deliver impactful training in regionally-demanding industry sectors;
  • offer an affordable training experience;
  • offer access to cutting-edge technology and machinery;
  • provide quick transition into entry-level jobs or advanced educational opportunities.
 
 Grossmont Adult Education offers courses in the following program areas listed below. Select this link for a list of all Career, Certification, and Licensing Classes (non-medical). Due to the current Covid-19 mandates, Fall Career Training classes may be offered in an online or small, on-site class format.  Please call 619.588.3500 for the current Fall Career Training class schedule. 
 
 *Career Training Financial Assistance Programs:
Financial assistance through the Workforce Partnership (WIOA funds) is available for the following classes: CompTIA A+ Certification, SMAW: Shield Metal Arc Welding (STICK/ARC), GTAW: Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG), Class-B Truck & Bus Driving License Class, and Collision Repair. Students who are interested should contact the East County Career Center (ECCC) to determine eligibility. Students are encouraged to start the ECCC enrollment process at least 30 days prior to registration start date. To start the process click on this link and follow the instructions.
